Ingredients
- 1 pound tomatillos husked
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper seeds removed, finely diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro
- 1 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- pinch pepper
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup lime juice
Instructions
- Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender and blend until it's salsa consistency.
- Pour salsa verde into a saucepan and heat on medium high heat. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring often.
